CONTENT WRITER/BLOGGER – INTERN


The Role

BackstAAAge are looking for creative individuals to create content for an exciting new website related to UK urban music, festivals, concerts, events and news within entertainment.

You will be required to contribute regularly and at times, you may be asked to create specific content on various topics. (i.e. music news, events, line up announcements, new music, videos and artists). You will write informative reviews and create features and content that will engage and captivate with our growing audience.

You must be able to research and keep up to date with the latest industry news, events, new music and hot talent.

This role is an excellent starting point for candidates looking to develop their writing within the music and entertainment field. Under the guidance of the Content Editor you’ll be working on a variety of content-based tasks designed to ensure our website will become one of the leading online resources for urban music information, advice and updates.

What we’re looking for:

* Excellent English communication skills with thorough understanding of grammar and great spelling
* Good attention to detail with the patience to proof all content created thoroughly
* An interest in music industry news, and be familiar with various news sources
* Creative flair with the ability to write engaging text that inspires our audience to keep up to date with everything music
* An efficient working mind set and desire to produce high quality work
* Basic image editing experience using Photoshop (not essential)
* An understanding of SEO and HTML code would be preferred but is not essential

SOCIAL MEDIA CO-ORDINATOR – INTERN


The Role

BackstAAAge are looking for a Social Media Intern to join our growing team. The ideal applicant will possess strong knowledge of the digital media landscape, including various social media sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to website monitoring and posting on social media platforms, engaging with followers and wider audiences by creating interactive content and participating in online outreach and promotion. Those looking to gain valuable online media experience with an exciting new company are encouraged to apply.

What we’re looking for:

* Have a love for Social Media and all things Digital, keep up to date with the latest Social Trends and industry information
* Ideally come from a content or journalism background (not essential)
* Ability to demonstrate ongoing engagement and implement effective strategies
* Create high-quality posts for consumer-facing social media channels
* Day to day management and development of all Social Media Channels (FB, Twitter, and Instagram)
* Build relationships with potential external clients
* Vlog creation
* Work with the team to plan and deliver highly-engaging social media activity and commercial promotions
* Contribute to brainstorms and help to plan social media activity based on an editorial calendar
* Regular reporting on the performance of BackstAAAge social media channels against targets, plus analysis to inform future activity
* Basic social media advertising (boosting posts)
* Assisting with enquiries sent to the team

PRESENTER


The Role

BackstAAAge are looking for a presenter to work on a huge range of subjects within music and entertainment. We want someone who is able to both stick to a script and to improvise if anything was to go wrong at any point. You may be called on to either host or make an appearance at various events such as festivals, concerts, award shows. You will be responsible for presenting and interviewing special guests and will be expected to research and be knowledgeable about the guest you Interview and audiences you address as well as acting as moderators for discussions. We will also require you to help with preparing content for the website.

What we’re looking for:

* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* The ability to improvise when necessary
* A good memory, for recalling scripts and facts
* Confident with a personality that is infectious
* Calmness under pressure
* Research and interviewing skills
* The ability to work on more than one task at a time
* Someone who is able to work within a team
* Experience in presenting to the public – i.e.:  radio, hosting events

CAMERA MAN


 

The Role

Work activities will vary depending on the type of programme, for example studio or outside recording and documentaries or whether the camera operator is using one of several cameras, or a portable single camera.

What we’re looking for:

* Assembling, preparing and setting up equipment prior to filming, which may include tripods, monitors, lighting, cables and leads and headphones;
* Offering advice on how best to shoot a scene and explaining the visual impact created by particular shots;
* Practicing the camera moves required for pre-arranged shots;
* Finding solutions to technical or other practical problems (for an outside broadcast, for example, the natural light conditions need to be taken into account when setting up shots)
* Being prepared to innovate and experiment with ideas;
* Working quickly, especially as timing is such an important factor;
* Taking sole responsibility in situations where only one camera operator is involved in the filming;
* Keeping up to date with filming methods and equipment;
* Demonstrating a good awareness of health and safety issues;
* Experience in video editing
