EVERYTHING TO KNOW ABOUT THE BOY BETTER KNOW TAKEOVER THIS WEEKEND
This coming weekend is the ultimate Grime and Hip Hop Takeover with the Boy Better Know Takeover happening at Londons’s O2 Arena. The Grime collective which compromises of brothers JME, Skepta, Wiley, Jammer, Maximum, Solo 45, Frisco and Shorty are bringing a show with a lineup of some of the biggest Grime and Hip Hop artist at the moment literally taking over the arena.
There will be nothing short of good music and the strongest of vibes for fans of UK music stepping out this weekend. With a full-day program filled with DJs as well as artists, there is a lot that will be going down at the O2 this weekend.
Artist set to take the stage include founders JME and Skepta as well as other artists such as Frisco, J Hus, Ghetts, Ms. Banks, Chip, Kojey Radical, Wiley, Donae’o, Mabel, Cosmina, Connie Constance and many other artists. With the venue split between the main stage and various other areas, as well other activities such as 5-A-Side football tournaments, skateboarding, BMXing, roller disco, gaming events, cinema and food I’m sure there will be something for everybody.
The BBK collective which was formed in 2005 by brothers JME and Skepta as a record label as a way to get their music published and since then has grown to publish the music of the members of the collective. Just recently the collective were announced as the winners of this year’s 2017 AIM Innovator Award. Paving the way for so many in UK music it’ll be great to see this event celebrating the scene in the way that it deserves.
