BESTIVAL 2018- 160 ACTS CONFIRMED
The most colourful show on earth comes to Dorset on the 2/3/4/5th August- we’re talking colourful acts, costumes and hopefully colourful weather… roll on Bestival (the greatest show or maybe we should say festival in the UK.)
We’ve always been big fans of Bestival and this year they’ve landed us with a wonderful theme- The Circus, which is fitting considering some of the stages they host, but enough about the theme, who do we think you’ll want to see?
King of the castles will be M.I.A, Grace Jones and Chaka Chan on The Castle Stage, we welcome Plan B back and whilst he’s got some new bits we’re hoping for some Ill Manors and then defamation of strickland banks storytelling. Keeping it big and bold is David Rodigan with some help from his friends The Outlook Orchestra, plus Urban moves from Stefflon Don and Kojey Radical… then someone that I literally cannot wait to see perform is Mura Masa, if you don’t love ‘Love Sick’ and ‘Fire Fly’ then we’re going to have problems.
So early birds tickets might have ended but our fortune teller matey’s told us the future, that there are 160 acts already confirmed and from £160, tickets will be trapezing left right and centre. Who else will be there? We’ll let some more acts out of The Box (that’s another stage and one that we’re going to be loving!) Major rising star Jorja Smith will be their alongside her galdems Mabel and IAMDDB, and it’s going to be a straight up party with the Lotto Boyzz, Mike Skinner, CASISDEAD, Donae’o, Ghetts and Not3s.
Setting sail for good times is HMS Bestival with a mash up of legendary artists like So Solid Crew, Faithless and then some randomness from East 17 and their Christmas Party, which leads us on to some of the random non music stuff. Forgot your shape up? Get yourself a free haircut. Check out the human ball pit, the strongman, human cannonball and gong healing (just use your imagination will ya.) Chill out in the ambient forest, yoga, hot tubs and feast on fancy foods at the feast collective.
Tickets are on sale here and camping is included – https://bestival.ticketline.co.uk/
