The British equivalent of Coachella kicks off any day now, that’s right Glastonbury is almost upon us, and all eyes are on Somerset as the queues form and the weather hots up. Coverage is going to be rife across from the 21st to 25th June. The hot topic already, we’ve got the rundown of where you can watch and listen for free, in the comfort of your own abode with a hench fan, paddling pool of lager/ cider and a comfortable bed.

Once upon a time I was that jealously heinous person who was on the verge of deleting anybody that uttered the G word but here I stand in 2017, a lot more mellowed out and thinking about the positives of not actually being there physically. Let’s face it Glasto is going to be all over our telly box, there’s to be over 30 hours of the farmy festival stuff, on BBC Two and BBC Four. With BBC Two bringing us huge headliners and firm faves, and BBC Four introducing us to the more eclectic.

Can’t bear to watch those roving camera’s, people perched on shoulders, and willowing flags? We’ve so got your back! Tune into BBC Radio One on 22nd June as Annie Mac feeds us what’s cracking on the BBC Introducing stage. Check out BBC 6, Radio 3 but most importantly BBC 1Xtra as Charlie Sloth  covers the Grime heavy Sonic Stage on Saturday, which is perfect timing for those of you who don’t have work… sorry for those who do!

Happy to watch behind your computer screen? Well you kind of should be considering the BBC website will be airing roughly 120 hours of performances from the Pyramid, Other, John Peel, Park, West Holts and BBC Introducing stage.) They can either be watched live (haha yeah we wish we could actually watch at the same time) or on demand on BBC’s iPlayer.

So there’s really no excuse to keep up to date and are dedicating the weekend to Glastonbury as we look forward to Boy Better Know, Wiley, Major Lazer, Nadia Rose, Kano, Sampha, Mele, Mistajam, Shy Fx, P Money, Fekky, Toddla T and trust we could go on but we’re getting a bit gaaassssed.

So lock into BBC over the next few days for some filthy festival antics.
