RAY BLK SELLS OUT VILLAGE UNDERGROUND
Last night BBC Music Sound of 2017 winner Ray BLK had her third sold out headline concert down at the Village Underground in Shoreditch. With surprise appearances from Wretch 32, Stormzy and SG Lewis, blizzard fans(aka Ray BLK’s supporters) got a real treat of some of the UK’s finest acts.
She has been compared to the likes of Lauryn Hill, with a fresh UK soul and hip-hop sound. On the night she showed off her vocal ability with a cover version of the well known song ‘ Say My Name’ by Destiny’s Child and ‘Don’t Let Go’ by En Vogue. If that wasn’t good enough, there was even an exclusive performance of her track ‘Patience’ which talks about the pressures of the industry and how the whole claim to fame can change people.
We hope that Ray BLK continues to stay the down to earth artist we have grown to love, she is definitely a Backstaaage favourite.
Check it out for yourself. Ray BLK’s EP ‘Durt’ and and her track ‘Patience’.
