SKEPTA UNVIELS NIKE AIR MAX 97 COLLABORATION
Skepta is currently killing his business game and is not showing any signs of slowing down. Fresh off releasing his clothing line ‘Mains London‘ in Selfridges in June the Grime artist is back with his second Nike Collaboration with the new Nike Air Max 97s.
The rapper previously collaborated with Nike last February with a special edition of the Air Max BW which was based on his 2012 album Blacklisted but were not made available for sale. However, this time around he is bringing his sneakers inspired by a trip to Morocco.
Speaking on the Collab Skepta has said “I have been wearing Air Max for so long since I was seven playing around in the estate; I feel like I know my Air Max well,”
As well as speaking on the Moroccan Inspiration “When designing the Air Max 97 Sk, we took the color palette of Morocco into consideration, but also the palette of the 1999 Air Tuned Max. That was the first shoe I ever saved up money to buy, so I wanted to bring its magic to the 97 — the magic that made me first love Air Max when I saw it as a child.”
Skepta is certainly on a fire not just with his music but also continuing to expand and develop his brand. We can’t wait to see the shoes in action once they drop on Septemeber 2nd.
