CASISDEAD – THE CODE
Like always is that time of the week and this weeks Track of The Week is Casisdead – The Code.
Casisdead the man with no face, when I say no face I mean no identity because he always has a mask on. When it comes to top rappers from the UK Casisdead is defiantly up there. His lyrical ability to tell a story added with his witty word play makes him stand out amongst his peers. For an independent artist, visually Casisdead’s material is out of this world and very creative.
I feel we’re gonna have to Rewind and show you some throwbacks to show you what I’m talking about. In the meantime we will bless you with his most recent track ‘The Code’. When you talk about originality and creativeness just watch this video. In the description of the video it states it was shot in Essex in 1995, which I doubt but the effects on the video give it that feel.
One thing for sure is ‘The Code’ does take its influence from Essex in 1995. As you watch the video you see reference to British crime films Essex Boys and Rise of The footsoilder which are based on the 1995 Rettendon Murders.
If you’re a fan of Casisdead’s music and his creativity you can catch him on the road on these dates below. Between August and September he will be in London at XOYO and the BBK Takeover, Bristol and Manchester.
Check out the video above and let us know your thoughts. Enjoy!
