Usually a Westwood Crib Session is ram packed full of bodies. You usually see a known rapper appear with other members of their collectives showcasing their talent. It was nice to see a rapper on his own spitting some real lyrics. This Westwood Crib Session sees Little Torment take a seat and give us something heart felt.

Little Torment is definitely offering something different to the game, especially as the game is really melody driven. On the occasions I’ve heard the South London rapper he paints the picture so clear with his lyrics. Some might say talking about your life on the roads is cliche, to which I somewhat agree. However, I believe if your truth is a certain walk of life then speak on it.

Little Torment tells his story very well. He doesn’t paint the roads to be just about the glamorous lifestyle of fast money, nice women and expensive clothes. He talks about the pain, the real about friends being locked up, not wanting his son to go through what he had to amongst other areas of that life. For me its all about how you tell that story. As one of the greats Nas said “No idea’s original, there’s nothing new under the sun It’s never what you do, but how it’s done”.

Westwood mentioned at the beginning of the video Little Torment is underrated and looking back at his catalogue I can definitely agree. Check out ‘Chapter 20‘ it’s a great project to get an insight about the rapper. It also features the likes of Avelino, Margs and Squeeks.

Check out his freestyle above and let us know what you think in the comments.
